I am a graduate student, seeking my Ph.D. in cultural and literary studies. I am also a teaching fellow. As a researcher, student, and instructor, my main focus is on Victorian, transatlantic, children's, and fantasy literature. My best experiences have been my time being an instructor and writing consultant. I have been teaching freshmen students in English classes. I have also been able to work with faculty members, peers, and ESL students in the Writing Center on campus. In the Center, I assisted clients in revisions and proofreading their work and helping them utilize their writing skills on their own. My tutoring style includes being enthusiastic and adaptive, two qualities that allow me to connect with my clients. I have a deep love of discovery and knowledge and believe they are the reason pupils succeed. I want my students to meet their goals, but have some fun along the way. I want to always have a positive interaction with my pupils because I believe this will make them feel welcomed and safe. I personalize my lesson plans according to each student's individual learning needs. I am glad that I will get to connect with so many new clients and help them reach their goals.
